The park provides for a blend of activities including team sports such as softball, at one of the state's leading facilities, and soccer or flag football on irrigated, regulation playing fields. The park's stocked lake provides fishing opportunities for area youth. The perimeter trail is used by many to increase their level of fitness or simply to enjoy some of the natural beauty and wildlife of the park as it twists through sections of naturalized Kansas lowland areas. Family and group gatherings occur frequently at the two covered picnic shelters and plenty of open space remains for individual or group activities.
